On February 28, the first-quarter 2020 industrial project groundbreaking and signing ceremony of Xiangcheng District was held on the banks of Yangcheng Lake. A total of 111 industrial projects were simultaneously launched and signed. Lan Shaomin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Yu Xingnan, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary-General; Gu Haidong, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Zhang Yongqing, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and District Mayor; and other officials attended the event.

Xiangcheng District enjoys a strategic location and favorable development conditions, situated at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, and is home to Suzhou North Railway Station, a key transportation hub.

During this special period of epidemic prevention and control, Suzhou took the lead nationwide in issuing the “Ten Measures to Benefit SMEs,” while Xiangcheng District went a step further by introducing the “Sixteen Measures to Benefit Enterprises” to help businesses weather the challenges.

 

Yan Jun, Chairman of Horizon Holdings (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., stated, “Suzhou’s open industrial ecosystem and world-class business environment have attracted us. The development positioning and strategic direction of Xiangcheng District align closely with our company’s growth objectives.” He has decided to increase investment by RMB 800 million, relocating the company’s headquarters from Shanghai’s Pudong District to Xiangcheng District in Suzhou.

The base enjoys a prime location with convenient transportation, covering a total site area of 33,334 square meters.

 

This project involves the construction of a new textile production base, with a total site area of 19,752.57 square meters and a total floor area of 86,601.94 square meters, including 80,512.33 square meters of gross floor area subject to floor‑area ratio calculations. The plot ratio is 2.42, and the green space ratio is 15.14%.

The office building has a gross floor area of 7,685.87 square meters; Workshop No. 1 has a permitted gross floor area of 47,618.25 square meters, and Finished Goods Warehouse No. 2 covers 25,145.81 square meters.
