A tribute to the goddess of the design institute, as we embrace the beauty of spring together.

Within the creative galaxy of the Suzhou Institute of Architecture, a radiant light forever shines—borne by a community of women architects whose wings are forged in design. With pens that blend strength and softness, they weave together the rational vocabulary of architecture and the emotive cadence of aesthetics, imbuing every inch of space with the warmth of humanity. On their blueprints, what winds and meanders is not merely line, but the heartfelt inscription of their vision for an ideal city.

On this International Women’s Day, we pay tribute to the dream‑makers of our urban spaces with a triple‑fold aesthetic ritual.

As the first light of dawn gently breaks, a specially crafted mousse cake from the dessert workshop graces each woman’s desk. The Eiffel Tower, delicately outlined in icing, seems to dissolve into the morning mist—like a sweet verse in which architectural dreams bloom on the tongue.

In the afternoon, the hall seems to transform into a springtime garden. The delicate fingers that once wielded the drafting pen gently gather and caress, channeling the spirit of the mountains and fields into blossoming branches. Peonies and eucalyptus leaves unfurl within the spatial composition, while roses and snow willows whisper at the golden ratio—is this not, in itself, another form of spatial design? When architectural aesthetics meets the philosophy of flower arranging, the proportions sketched on paper are reborn within the vessel.

Amid the gentle haze of floral art, quiet conversation flows like a brook. From BIM‑based parametric design to principles of parent–child education, from curved‑surface modeling techniques to an exploration of the “Yingzao Fashi,” sparks of thought and the delicate fragrance of creeping Jenny rise in harmonious synergy. In this moment, the meticulous engineer and the romantic artist achieve a perfect reconciliation.

As dusk approaches, each goddess carries her creation toward the Starlight Corridor. Those swaying floral branches are like silhouettes of their lives—rooted in a concrete‑like resilience, yet tenderly attuned to the delicate sensibilities of a flower’s pistil. When the architectural blueprint and the canvas of life reflect one another, they give rise to the festival’s most poignant spatial poetics.

With the stars scattered across the sky as our tribute, we wish you to forever retain that pioneering spirit of design—while building grand edifices for the world, may you also erect a poetic spiritual dome of your own. Let us continue to take the earth as our blueprint and time as our architect, together composing the spatial epic of our age.
