On August 27, 2023, filled with excitement and pride, we received the wonderful news that the structural topping-out of Workshop No. 2 for Suzhou Zhaowei’s new micro‑drive project has been successfully completed, marking the completion of the entire project’s building structure. This is a moment worth celebrating, signifying that the project has reached an important milestone and reflecting the resilience and ingenuity we have demonstrated throughout the design and implementation phases of this outstanding endeavor.

Project Overview

The Suzhou Zhaowei Micro‑Drive New Construction Project is an intelligent industrial base established by Shenzhen Zhaowei Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd. in the Yangtze River Delta region, integrating R&D, manufacturing, and sales of micro‑drive systems. Shenzhen Zhaowei Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd. has long been a leader in motor‑drive technology, dedicated to the research, development, and production of motor‑drive systems that are widely applied in industrial automation, electric vehicles, wind energy, solar energy, and other fields. Zhaowei Drive is renowned for its cutting-edge technology and spirit of innovation, consistently at the forefront of technological and industrial advancement.

The project covers an area of 50.5 mu and has a total floor area of 85,000 square meters. It plans to further expand the company’s production capacity and optimize its product portfolio by constructing new workshops for mold manufacturing, transmission systems, drive systems, and testing. Upon completion, the project will establish an annual production capacity of 20 million miniature transmission systems and 20 million intelligent drive systems.

The project is located in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou High-Tech Zone, enjoying a prime location adjacent to Lüliangshan Road to the north and Xunyangjiang Road to the east. The planned site covers a total area of 34,360.6 square meters, with gently rolling terrain. It connects to urban roads on its south and west sides, borders a waterway to the north, and features undeveloped open space to the east.

Our design team has infused every design decision with both innovation and practicality. By thoughtfully segregating vehicular and pedestrian circulation, we have crafted an efficient spatial layout that enhances the campus’s overall usability.

The integration of architectural aesthetics and practicality ：

In the realm of individual building design, we prioritize a harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality. The office entrance plaza on the south side serves not only as a thoroughfare but also as a space for interaction and socializing, fully reflecting the demands of the modern workplace. Our designs seamlessly integrate beauty with practicality, imbuing the campus with a distinctive humanistic ambiance.

Optimized traffic flow ：

In response to the existing roads on the west and south sides of the site, we have carefully planned the park’s access points. The logistics entrance is located on the west side; to minimize the impact of the unloading area on the street‑facing façade, the unloading zone has been positioned at the northeast corner of the plant. Internal traffic flows smoothly and in an orderly manner, providing convenience for both employees and visitors.
