Project To the east, it borders Liaohejing; to the southwest, it abuts Dongfang Avenue; and to the northeast, it is adjacent to Dushu Lake Ecological Park across Shanghu Road.

As a residential development project in Suzhou, the planning and design should be forward-looking and pioneering. This project is positioned as a mid-to-high‑end residential complex within the urban area, with the aim of creating a… High-quality, healthy, comfortable, energy-efficient, and livable of the residential community.

| Planning Philosophy

Community Activities – Neighborhood Events – Social Gatherings – Family Activities We seek to create a new urban residential landscape through design approaches that reflect the spirit of our times, resulting in a modern residential district characterized by a well-organized layout, a unified architectural style, and a strong sense of visual identity.

By leveraging the open-space system as the primary connective element, it not only seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment but also effectively addresses pedestrian circulation between the various clusters.

In addition to the open-space system that serves as the community’s central landscape, the master plan also establishes a series of small-scale neighborhood spaces, organized around pocket plazas, gardens, water features, and courtyard areas.

The shifting vistas of the three‑courtyard layout create diverse visual and psychological experiences.

In terms of the planning layout, two principal axes are established: the north–south central axis echoes Dushu Lake, while the main entrance axis aligns with Dushu Lake Park. Two high-rise clusters face Dushu Lake, presenting a positive and inviting urban image.

By integrating a water system, the site is naturally divided into five low‑rise, multi‑storey clusters, evoking the traditional Suzhou streets, alleys, and courtyard spaces.

The community is laid out with a north-high, south-low configuration in accordance with the planning requirements. High-rise residential buildings are arranged in a single row to ensure optimal daylighting and ventilation for all unit types.

Low- and mid-rise residential buildings are situated in the southern and central parts of the site, with extensive landscaped communal green spaces separating them from the high-rise residences.

The residential layout emphasizes spatial articulation, with the form and spatial composition of individual units generating dynamic, curvilinear living spaces that foster a warm, natural, and human‑centric living environment. At the same time, by staggering the buildings and varying their heights, the design increases the windward surface area, thereby enhancing natural ventilation.

The variation in building heights helps create an appealing urban landscape and enhances the visual experience for residents. In accordance with the principle of “unimpeded yet not overly congested,” the community’s road network organizes vehicular traffic between functional clusters along linear arterial routes, creating a pleasing visual relationship between streets and buildings while ensuring the central green space’s pedestrian network remains relatively independent. At the same time, the road design is integrated with plaza spaces, green areas, and architectural volumes, collectively shaping an inviting outdoor spatial landscape.

In the overall landscape design, we strive to seamlessly integrate the organic fluidity of green corridors with the enclosed character of residential and public buildings, together creating a distinctive environmental aesthetic.

Rich vertical spatial variations create a multi‑layered green landscape—through techniques such as localized grading, the community space gains depth and a more natural feel, while also allowing water features to flow naturally with the terrain.

With a masterful balance of density and openness, and a dynamic interplay of voids and solids, the winding paths lead to secluded, tranquil spaces that combine the refined seclusion of a private garden with the rustic charm of a rural village. The residence and its grounds are seamlessly integrated, offering ever‑changing vistas with every step.
